We are now back in England. Last week Dylan went to a Christmas party. Here are some pictures.

Dylan is now feeling much better although he still has a bit of a cough and cold. Here he is on a mission to get to the kitchen.

Poor Dylan has had a virus and was unable to attend his Halloween tea party on Friday. Yesterday he spent the day in hospital but was able to come home at five o clock and is now feeling much better as his temperature has normalised. The doctors have said it may take a week for him to fully recover but that he should be fine to fly out to California a week on Monday to visit his Nana and Papa.

Dylan is nearly six months old and has just started sleeping through the night which is a welcome relief for his parents! Here is a picture with him and next door neighbour Sam who is not looking too impressed that Dylan is using him to stop himself falling over. Note that Dylan only has one sock on - one of his favourite tricks is removing his socks.

Last week Dylan seemed very hungry so we decided to start him on solids. Here is a video of his first taste of some baby rice.

Since then he has had banana and apple (which he likes) and sweet potato (which he doesn't).

Dylan was weighed yesterday and he weighed 17 lb 2 which means he is still on his 75 percentile line. He has now doubled his birth weight which was 8lb 3. We are thinking about starting him on solids as he is taking an interest in food and is trying to eat everything he can find (including the newspaper!) However we've decided to wait until our kitchen extension is finished and we return from our holiday in the New Forest which should be in about three weeks time. In the meantime he is still requiring a feed at about 4 in the morning which is pretty tiring but manageable.

Tuesday, 26 August 2008

Last Thursday Dylan had his third set of injections. This time he had three jabs, two in his left leg and one in his right. On Friday he had a bit of a fever and was very cranky but he was back to his usual self by Saturday. Luckily he has no more injections until his MMR jab when he is one year old.

Dylan is getting more and more active day by day. Here are some videos:

Tuesday, 19 August 2008

Yesterday Dylan rolled over from his back to his front for the first time. Since then he's done it a number of times; however he then forgets that he can roll the other way and starts to complain! We haven't yet caught it on video but will post as soon as we do.

What are those mountains on the sides of your face?
They are as big as an Egbo.

They are your cheeks, did you not know?

18 June - 23 June 2008

Dylan enjoys music including the following songs:

Chuggalug chuggalug chuggalug Dylan
Chuggalug chuggalug chuggalug Dylan
Gobble gobble
Good boy!

The best thing in life that you can do
is to be happy though it hurts when you poo

Dylan is heavy like a mellon
Dylan is round like a mellon
Dylan likes to dance like a mellon
Dylan is in fact a mellon

We do the hula dance
We do the hula dance
We do the hula dance
and we fall down on our pants...
I'm so ugly
that people are afraid
that when they look at me
they will turn into stone.
We do the hula dance
We do the hula dance
We do the hula dance
and we fall down on our pants.
